Pure Milk release sophomore E.P 'Self-Improvement'
Off the back of a massive 2019, supporting the likes of DZ Deathrays, WHARVES, and VOIID Gold Coast's very own indie rock collective Pure Milk are ready to unveil their new EP Self-Improvement.
Self-Improvement is better represented as a time capsule for the band with some songs dating back to 2017 when they were just beginning to play their first live shows. At its core the EP is filled with the punk rock vigour you’d expect from the band but is further elevated by lyrical and emotional sensitivity not seen in their earlier material. Throughout, Nitschinsk reflects on his hometown, self-esteem, consumerism, social anxiety, FOMO, becoming an able-bodied adult and making sure you’re always there for your friends.
It's been a big year for the Pure Milk boys with past singles M1 Southbound, Palm Beach, and Expectations all receiving airplay on Triple J, Double J, Unearthed and various community radio stations. Their music has been described as "as slice of angular and heartfelt indie-rock done right" (Blank GC) and has been quickly building traction across Australia .
