It’s been a flying start to 2019 for Gold Coast based 5-piece Pure Milk. Their latest single I Know (Thank You), released in early February, has been regularly played on radios across the country including Triple J Unearthed, FBI Radio and 4ZZZ. 2019 has also seen Pure Milk play some of their biggest shows to date, supporting DZ Deathrays, Peach Fur, WHARVES, Sweater Curse, and Bugs.

With a reputation of being the new up and comers in the Brisbane scene, Pure Milk are not planning to slow down, in fact it’s quite the opposite as they are ecstatic to announce the release of their latest single Palm Beach. A loving, socially conscious ode to one of the Gold Coasts best (and grittiest) suburbs, Pure Milk blend elements of poignant Australian garage rock with stilted punk- esque guitars.

“Really appreciating the warmth and sincerity that Pure Milk have put into this homely indie charmer” – Dave Ruby Howe, Triple J

Pure Milk take their cues from the DIY ethic of the Australian underground scene, writing songs that have been described as ‘wholesome indie punk with a tinge of slacker rock’ (think Parquet Courts/Car Seat Headrest/Courtney Barnett) where strong, emotionally fuelled lyrical wordplay remain at the forefront of their music.

“Pure Milk offers a unique insight into the idiosyncratic worldview of 22 y/o Lewis Nitschinsk” – Blank GC

Produced by Dylan Lindquist (Soft Nylon, Tiarne) and mastered by the wonderful Paul Blakey (IVEY, Amy Shark), Palm Beach is a song that just might help to get through these cold winter months.
