Wollongong’s DIY garage punks HOON are bringing their full-throttle whacked out spin on punk rock to the East Coast of Australia for their first tour of 2023. Fresh out the gate from the launch of their 6 venue monolith ‘The Gong Crawl’ and the 2022 ‘Propane’ National tour, the lads are back out swinging with their debut studio album ‘Australian Dream’ on full blast.
Leaving no stone unturned, ‘Australian Dream’ captures their frenzied live performances and chaotic song writing on record for the first time, deliberating life in modern Australia over 11 intense tracks. Produced at The Brain Studios with Clayton Segelov, the record ricochets between the crucial sounds of ‘90s rock pioneers, surf punk and hints of psychedelia and sludge metal to form a uniquely Australian blend of contemporary punk rock.
With their uncompromising on-stage energy, Hoon are a band who frequently skirt the line between the maniacal and total mayhem, with a punk-rock attitude to match. Lock and load yourself for a night of screaming, flailing and good times as they celebrate the album with a huge 11-date run of the Australian East Coast.
